I'm Betty Ferreira FCPA, FCMA

As the founder of Goodcasting and Goodcasting Academy, I bring over 30 years of experience helping nonprofits achieve financial transformation.

As a former nonprofit CEO and Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCMA), I’ve trained hundreds of organizations and designed many of Canada’s leading nonprofit finance programs, including for CPA Ontario, United Way agencies, and the Ontario Nonprofit Network.

My training is highly rated for being impactful and engaging. I avoid accounting jargon, use relatable real-world examples, and make complex concepts easy to understand for nonprofit leaders.

My Story

As a former nonprofit Executive Director, I know exactly how intimidating nonprofit finances can feel. I used to worry that my Treasurer would ask me questions I couldn’t answer or that I was missing something important in the financial statements.

While I could read financial statements, I didn’t fully grasp the power of the Statement of Financial Position or how to create a financial strategy that went beyond fundraising. These challenges left me feeling unsure about how to lead with confidence in the financial side of my role.

Everything changed when I strengthened my nonprofit finance skills and earned my CPA designation, transforming my approach and boosting my confidence in making strategic decisions.

Now, I teach and coach nonprofit leaders to help them build their own confidence in financial leadership. My goal is to ensure that they feel empowered to navigate their finances with clarity and purpose, so they can focus on making a bigger impact.
